Joe decided that we should document one of our epic beanie baby fights and beanie baby capture the flag. We had a guest star David Williams (our cousin). He did amazing :). We consider it was successful because no one lost an eye, nothing was broken, or was craying by the end of the battle. . . maybe because there were no girls. . . Just kidding Natalie and Caroline. We love you. Enjoy!

Pioneer trek
So our mom could not post this on her blog so we decided to see if it would work on ours. This is her text and video...
Last week I went on a pioneer trek with Josh, Natalie and Jake. It was a wonderful experience. It help us all gain a greater understanding of the faith and courage the pioneers had. I feel it also helped my teenagers realize that they could do hard things too and that even though they do not have to pull handcarts across the country, that they have strength and courage to face their own challenges and trials. Before going, we read stories about a couple of our own ancestor pioneers-William Lobark Skidmore and Leopold Wirthlin.

Scary
So we decided today that we would videotape scaring other people. We only caught on tape about a fifth of the scarings (technical problems etc.) But by the end of the night we had the house in pandemonium (yes that is a word from Greek words). Everybody was dodgy and looking in every crook, crany, and closet door before going anywhere. It was a lot of fun, even though we didn't get some of the best scares up. Enjoy.

Commercials
Here are our commercials that we promised you a few weeks ago...I think it is appropriate to say quality over quantity in this specific situation - of which we have neither - which makes them so great! Enjoy!

Passionate Poetry Competition
Today we decided we would have a poetry writing competition.
Every one had to make their own rendition,
Of "There once was a fly."
Here the poems lie.
Vote for which one you like the best.
We give our poems to your test.
The losers will have to rhyme
for one day whenever they see the winner at any time.
ENJOY!
1. There once was a fly.
That knew this guy,
and met him at a farm
with so many flies on his forearm
that he could fly so high up in the sky he could cry.
2. There once was a fly.
His name is guy.
He sat on a pie.
He's saying goodbye.
3. There once was a fly.
Actually, that's a lie.
He first was a walk -
A walk that could talk.
But he can't talk anymore,
So I'll tell his folklore.
He couldn't fly in the bright blue sky.
In fact, he was scared of places high.
So, he walked around on the ground,
Eating whatever he found,
Talking to all he would meet,
Even to the farmer Pete.
Until one fateful day...
It might have been in May,
He saw with his thousand eyes,
Something more beautiful than a million cow pies.
Her name was Shannon.
Her wings sparkled and shone in the sun.
Her every move was stunning,
And before he knew it he was running.
He wanted to yell endless - ly,
But for the first time he was speechless.
But, alas, she was on a ledge,
Out of reach brought tears to his eyes' edge.
He stopped about to cry,
To forever rot walking to die.
But, then - if flies could smile,
Shannon gazed hopefully down in this style.
All of a sudden he started to shake,
From a deep sleep came his wings awake,
He rose from the ground
Not making a sound.
Keeping his eyes on her,
He did not fear.
And thus once a walk, now a fly forever more,
She radiated cure to heal his every sore.
Wing with wing together they beat.
His silence was music so sweet.
A walk now a fly,
And a honeymoon at the pig-stie.
4. There once was a fly.
He flew so high.
Until the people screamed bye bye!
Then a guy caught the fly,
So he couldn't fly high.
The fly told the guy to go to a pig-stie,
But the guy ate pie with rye.
That's the end! bye bye!

Jake: At least I still have a head!
Joe: I don't like to be touched
Johnny: Well, there goes another limb...Do you know if we can eat?

First ever international Ritz cracker cooking competition
Cooking with Jake. First International Ritz cracker cooking competition. Find out who wins. Also, two apologies are merited. First sorry there are no commercials. Those will come in the weeks following. We did not have the time to finish any of them. Also, sorry we had to load the video into separate movies. Anyways, we hope this will be as delicious of an experience for you as it has been for us. Enjoy.

Our First Music Video
This is our first music video attempt. We wanted to make a story about a puppet pig getting dumped by a girl moose puppet. However, it took longer than we thought and we couldn't incorporate the story throughout the music video, so that part might seem a bit random. Other than that, I think we have quite some musical talent in our group of brothers. Enjoy.
